Palma Superyacht Show adds value
Taking place from 30 April to 4 May, the 2015 edition of the Palma Superyacht Show came to a close and ended on a high, with a feeling of confidence coming from the brokerage community in the show’s success.
“The qualified clients we have had visiting Mondango were all pre-invited and known to us, but I think if we were displaying a smaller yacht there would definitely be the potential for meeting new clientele walking the show.”
In terms of future growth, Fisher believes that the show has more to give. “I would like to see the show evolve with increased exposure to top-flight clients, which it has the potential to do,” he adds. “It comes with its location in the centre of Palma which makes for a nice weekend break for clients and their families. We are also very happy with the show as a relaxed and non-corporate event.”
The non-corporate element to the show was something that many others in attendance commented on and were grateful for. Unlike more commercially driven shows in the superyacht industry’s calendar, the Palma Superyacht Show offers the same platform for everyone to exhibit from, keeping marketing to a minimum and as a result brokerage costs are kept down. The organisers realise the value of hosting a show in Palma to the local industry, and this directly affects the value added to those exhibiting, providing quality and unbiased visibility.
